Does the steering in your SuperDuty feel a little sloppy? Whether you're running oversized tires, have racked up some miles, or whatever the reason, sooner or later the factory tie rods will wear out, and when that time comes, sure, you could replace with factory or whatever is available at your local parts store, or...you can go for a big upgrade for more strength and a tighter steering. This kit from Kryptonite is just what you need if you're looking for the ultimate steering upgrade! Featuring a solid 7075 aluminum design with a massive 2" outer diameter, it was designed and built for maximum durability and adjustability with no need to remove from the truck to adjust. This versatile steering kit will allow for correct steering wheel position and alignment at any ride height from stock and up mounted in the factory location. The solid design maintains straight tracking and drivability, less wander, and a more positive steering feel. The Drag Link (linkage coming off of pitman arm) comes equipped with a relief area which allows for the use of Kryptonite's steering stabilizer clamp assembly. This clamp assembly is required to run a stabilizer in the factory location and is highly recommended for the best performance. Additionally the Tie Rod assembly comes equipped with dual relief areas which allows for the use of a Dual Steering stabilizer system. Most popular brand dual stabilizer kits will work in conjunction with this steering system. The optional clamp assembly kit will be required to complete installation. This steering system utilizes Kryptonite's exclusive "Death Grip Tapered Jam Nut System," a revolutionary way to ensure a secure fit with no loss of adjustability. Designed specifically for heavy-duty use, this kit will handle the toughest work that you can throw at it while delivering excellent performance.
NOTE: If your truck has a lift kit installed that utilizes sway bar drop brackets and factory end links, you may find that the drag link in this kit will hit the sway bar. You may need to install lightly longer end links or much longer end links and removal of the drop bracket for the sway bar to clear the drag link.
