When you level or add a mild lift on your truck, control arms often get overlooked. This is a big problem on Dodge Ram 1500's as the design from the factory is subpar and once the truck is lifted any amount, the arms quickly are maxed out. This leads to much shorter lifetime and often causes the ball joints popping out when the supension starts to droop out. This occurrs on stock vehicles with the suspension at full droop on a vehicle hoist or floor jack or after installing a leveling or lift kit. The stamped steel OEM control arm simply mushrooms and allows the ball joint to pop out.
The new Gen 2 ReadyLIFT 67-1501 2006-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Upper Control Arm gives Ram truck owners peace of mind that they will not suffer a ball joint failure. The robust tubular DOM tube steel designed upper control arm features the best engineering and construction, along with added benefits of geometry correction and ball joint angle correction. The ReadyLIFT proprietary 1-ton ball joints are far superior to the OEM joints and are designed to work with both leveled and lifted applications! Even better is these arms include their proprietary ReadyLIFT TCT - Terrain Control Technology self lubricating and maintenance-free pivot bushings.
