Description
Removing factory restrictions in the exhaust of your Duramax not only improves overall performance, but it can also help with fuel economy as well. The factory downpipe in your GM Duramax is highly restrictive due to the crushed, oval shaped section right off the back of the turbo. This restriction does not allow the full performance capability of your engine and after tuners and other horsepower enhancing products have been added, the stock downpipe is the reason for your high EGT's and poor throttle response. Remove your crushed oval stock down pipe and replace it with a smooth 3" round, long lasting, down-pipe from PPE. This down-pipe is constructed from 304 stainless steel and is spiral heat wrapped with titanium woven thread with stainless steel clamps to help reduce engine bay temperatures and get the most out of your engine.
