The track bar on your 2nd Gen Ram runs from the drivers side frame rail to the passenger side of the front axle and is responsible for keeping the axle square under your truck. Due to triangulation, as the suspension cycles (goes up and down) the axle is able to move very slightly to the left and to the right. If you've leveled or lifted your truck and not installed any kind of track bar drop bracket, the front axle is actually positioned further to the drivers side as a result of this triangulation, as well.
This Severe Duty Track Bar from Proforged is designed with a built-in adjuster sleeve that allows you to lengthen the bar for leveled or lifted applications so you can properly align the front axle back under the frame where it should be.
