Description
No other suspension or steering component on a Duramax has gotten as much flack as the factory tie rods. Heavy Duty

"These are way more heavy duty than stock and packaging was awesome. Everything you need came in the box, even thread locker."

Aaron J. (5/5)

Good parts

"Great parts heavy duty"

Kevin K. (5/5)

Best tie rods all around

"My last set lasted 300k and 7 years. Tried cognito hd and the boots came off after 6 months. Switched back to the rare parts. These should last longer than my truck being it has 630k on it now."

Anthony C. (5/5)

Best tie rods

"These tie rods are massive. I can’t see ever bending these like the stock GM products."

Darren D. (5/5)

Beefy tie rods!

"Install wasn't difficult at all. Make sure to get an alignment after. Glad there's an affordable, and very durable upgrade compared to the stock gm tie rods. Only gave it 4/5 because I do not know long term performance."

Irina (4/5)

Heavy duty

"Haven't driven much yet but you can tell they'll hold up. They're as big as the rods on my semi"

Q&A

How long should that ball joint last? I've dealt with ball joints before and they've last only a year or so in my Duramax. And what is the warranty on the ball joint itself?
The actual bar will have a life time warranty. The joint being a wear item, will not be covered under a warranty. As far as life-span it's typical to see anywhere 70-150k miles. It seems you have other mods or some other factor on your rig. Give us a call Mon-Fri 6-6 PST at 888-993-4373 and lets see if we can find your a solution. Thanks.

Would these or any of the aftermarket front end parts give me any trouble installing If I have a 6 lift ? Thanks
Rare Parts states those are good up to a 6in lift. You should be good to go! -Sands
Will these work on a Chevy 1500 2wd (non-HD)? If not what would you suggest?
No they would not , we don't carry anything for that application.-Sands
