S&B tests to the ISO 5011 Air Filtration Standard in a climate - controlled lab when designing and testing our intake kits. Does this come with a max air flow sensor?
It would require you to re-use your existing MAP sensor.
Does this in any way provide ""cooler"" air to flow into the filter vs. the stock filter? Otherwise is there any test data to show this actually makes a difference while still doing the very important job of filtering the air. The stock filter seems pretty impressive to me, and my mechanic told me to stay with a dry filter, NOT an ""oiled"" filter. I would love to be able to grab cooler air from the front of the truck vs. the hot engine / hot pavement but I don't see this doing that.?
I have the same brand of intake on my 2004.5 LLY truck and I also have an Edge Insight. IAT is the same as ambient temp. That is my personal real world data. I would also agree with your mechanic on getting the dry filter. DppSands
