The larger turbine assembly allows for lower drive pressure, creating a better balance between boost and drive (exhaust backpressure). This improved balance under heavy load means more efficiency and power at a given boost number, resulting in lower EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperature) under heavy load. Overall peak power is also improved, where the Stealth 64 G1 would normally support 600-610 HP, the G2 now pushes the envelope to 640HP. You're not going to find all of these features anywhere else in the aftermarket in a truly stock appearing, bolt-in IHI turbocharger.
G2 technology takes the Stealth 64 and improves every element of it - including the sound!
The G2 is designed to take the stock long block LB7 as far as possible with stock connecting rods - that's up to 640 rear wheel horsepower.
The Stealth 64 has been on the market since 2013. The G2 represents everything the team at Duramax Tuner has learned, coupled with their in-house manufacturing and quality control - to bring the Stealth 64 to the next level.

Was looking at the stealth 64 and 64 g2 what is the exact difference? Building a lb7 right now wanted to see the actual difference between the 2 also was wondering if I'm able to send in core before purchase?
The G2 has a larger higher flowing exhaust turbine for less drive pressure and better top end. And a billet compressor wheel for more airflow. It will support 30-40 more hp then the 64. We can facilitate the core being sent in first but the process could take longer. possibly 2-3 weeks before the new turbo shipped.
I just had my LB7 re-ringed and my engine builder told me my waste gate was stuck in my turbo and suggested I replace it. I'm just curious if this would be to much turbo for a rebuilt stock lb7?
This unit would be primarily intended for those who have upgraded their engines output via tuning, injectors, etc. This unit would not be the best choice for those running a stock engine. -AW
