Its time to throw some bigger meats under your Colorado or Canyon, and no matter way to do this and make it stand out from the crowd than with this 5.5" lift kit from the pros at Zone Offroad. This complete kit comes ready to install with everything you'll need for additional height and improved offroad performance. This suspension system for the Colorado has passed the FMVSS126 test for stability control compliance. To properly lift the Colorado/Canyon suspension 5.5", Zone started with new ductile cast iron steering knuckles. The new knuckles position the critical steering and control arm mounting location and work in harmony with the heavy-duty fabricated crossmembers. Along with new crossmembers, the provided differential drop brackets lower and reposition the front differential for correct CV shaft angles and still allow for use of the factory front driveshaft. Speaking of the front driveshaft, a spacer is included to adjust the length and retain optimum CV joint position. A full width differential skid plate protects the relocated differential from the underside and ties the front and rear crossmembers together. Moving up, the factory struts are retained and relocated with top spacers to gain the full 5.5" of lift. The top spacers do not require any strut disassembly and properly angle and position the struts to eliminate binding through wheel travel. Extended sway bar links, bump stop extensions and brake line relocation are also included to make this a complete kit. In the rear, a new block and U-bolt kit provided 4" of lift to level out the rear with the front, along with several shock options, detailed below. Shock Options - We offer this kit with several shock options: Nitro Series Shocks: Zone Nitro Series shock absorber offers stock-like control and performance with fully displaced valving for improved compression and extension travel. This vehicle specific valving is pressurized with 50 psi nitrogen gas; this gas charge ensures split second response and reduced aeration. Combine these features with the special Fluon-banded piston and this shock is built to perform! Fox Adventure Series Shocks: Built specifically to compliment your Zone lift kit, FOX's proven damping technology provides a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling in a variety of conditions. Their monotube design uses an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, preventing oil aeration for fade-free performance in rough terrain.
