Description
The 2009-2013 Rams are a great foundation off of which a reliable and capable off-road vehicle can be built. A lift and some all-terrain tires is all it really takes to transform the RAM into an excellent weekend warrior, heavy-duty tow rig, or desert racing chase truck. However these larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combos can quickly push the truck's original steering stabilizer past its limit. Realizing this, ICON Vehicle Dynamics has developed a heavy-duty steering stabilizer that is a direct replacement of the factory unit. This stabilizer is based on the ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shock absorber line, and has been specifically tuned to compensate for the additional weight of larger wheels and tires on the RAM 3/4-ton trucks. The ICON 2.0 stabilizer is a direct fit replacement, meaning install is as simple as removing the original unit and bolting up the ICON part in its place. Ease of installation combined with increased damping ability over stock, a corrosion-resistant shock body, and a fully rebuildable design make the ICON steering stabilizer the best choice for replacing or upgrading worn out 2009-UP RAM 2500/3500 components. IMPORTANT NOTE - This stabilizer only works on T-style steering. If you have an 03-08 truck with factory Y-style steering, this stabilizer will NOT work. The 08.5+ T-style steering upgrade will need to be on the truck to ensure fitment on 03-08 trucks.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This stabilizer is designed to only work on 2008.5-2012 3500's and 2008.5-2013 2500's because they came from the factory with what is called T-Style Steering. However, MANY 2003-2008 2500 and 3500's were upgraded to this steering both from the dealer or by the vehicle owners. In order to determine whether you have T-Style Steering, the easiest thing to do is look at your current steering stabilizer. If there is a hole in the middle of the center link bar that the stabilizer is attached to, then you have the earlier Y-Style Steering, and this kit will not work on your application. However, if your current stabilizer bolts to a plate in the center of the centerlink, and that plate is mounted via two u-bolts, then you have the updated T-Style Steering. As always, if you have any questions concerning what steering you have, please contact us.

About ICON Vehicle Dynamics
ICON Vehicle Dynamics is a premiere performance suspension manufacturer specializing in aftermarket suspension components for trucks, SUVs and off road suspension development. The companys business is customer-driven, technology-influenced, engineering-oriented and focuses on world-class manufacturing processes and techniques. Led by head engineer and SCORE champion driver Dylan Evans, ICON Vehicle Dynamics has the unique qualities to design and build the highest quality suspension components and test them in both real world applications as well as race conditions.

ICON is often asked how they develop such revolutionary performance suspension systems. The answer might surprise you. Their engineers actually start by determining a desired outcome of the vehicle they are working on. By studying forces and their effect on the vehicle in motion (Vehicle Dynamics) they are able to determine what improvements can be made. They determine how they can improve drivability of the vehicle, how to improve the handling characteristics and what changes can be made to improve the vehicle in real world situations. The end result of all this study is the highest quality and performing suspension products in the world. What also sets ICON products apart is our incredible commitment of time and energy dedicated to both ride development and testing. From vehicle dynamic theory to our years of experience and involvement in off road racing, rock crawling and just about anything you can do with a vehicle on or off the road. ICON engineers are in control and the driving force of the entire product line and manufacturing processes. This is made possible because all of their laser cutting, metal forming, CNC machining, welding and assembly is done in house.
