In high performance, high-load situations, the torque converter bears the brunt of the engine’s force. Inferior torque converter designs can slip excessively, causing the oil to foam and boil, and the front cover to “balloon”—even rupture. But BD’s torque converter was specifically designed to handle the kind of punishment you dish out.
Built on our premises in a state-of-the-art transmission facility, BD converters feature a stamp forged steel cover that is actually stronger than steel billet, up to triple the clutch material, furnace brazed fins and our own billet aluminum stator design that maximizes the low-speed torque characteristics of the Cummins engine.
On the street, you’ll notice that stall speed is reduced significantly, resulting in more positive engagement in drive, enhanced low-speed drivability and better fuel economy. If you drag race or sled pull, you’ll appreciate that the TorqForce is designed to handle up to 1,400 lb.-ft of torque in an 11-second truck. And if you tow a heavy trailer, check this out: BD's converter has been tested to 850 lb.-ft of torque, towing a 26,000 lb. load up a six-percent grade!

-Enhanced Stall
-Low Stall (Designed for higher horsepower daily driven or tow vehicles)
-High Stall (Designed for higher horsepower race or hot-rod street applications)

We do not charge an up front core
charge in the lower 48 states, we will cover the return core shipping
and the core must be returned with in 21 days or your credit card will be
charged. Core charge is $300.
