At the 2015 International Auto Show, Nissan made the official unveiling of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD featuring a 5.0L Cummins. While there had been a plethora of spy photos and general discussion that Nissan had plans to release such a product, there really had not been any official finite information until this. The new Cummins powered Titan XD features a 5.0L V8 producing 310 horsepower and 555 foot pounds of torque backed by a six speed Aisin transmission. Airflow is handled by a newly developed Holset M2 compound turbocharger system featuring VGT technology and a unique patented Rotary Turbine Control. Fueling components are built by the best in the business, Bosch, and flow fuel through a HPCR (High Pressure Common Rail) system that has proven itself time and again for other vehicle manufacturers. American Axle supplies the last bits of hardware before power touches the tires with a hefty 9.25" double wishbone front end and a 3.5" solid axle rear end.
