Description
Amplify your driving experience with a Fleece Performance VGT Cheetah Turbocharger. Featuring a Fleece Performance exclusive 63mm billet compressor wheel and a high flow turbine wheel, this turbo is capable of supporting 700 RWHP without sacrificing any driveability. As a 100% drop-in replacement turbo, the Fleece VGT Cheetah does not require any expensive kit or specialized tuning, just bolt it in and go. Designed as a stock appearing, drop in replacement turbocharger capable of much more! With Fleece's exclusive FMW compressor wheel and inconel turbine wheel technology, you’ll enjoy smooth throttle response and big top-end power. All turbos feature a new actuator. Build Better Boost With Your 6.7 Cummins With This Fleece Turbo Diesel engines are essentially a big air pump that utilizes properly timed fuel injection pulses to combust with the incoming air charge. In order to make that combustion event “bigger,” it requires more air and typically more fuel, which in turn generates more power. The factory HE351VE turbo found on your truck features a 60mm compressor wheel, which is attached to a shaft with the turbine wheel on the opposing exhaust side of the turbo. As exhaust exits the engine, it spins this shaft, in turn causing the cold, compressor side of the turbo spin even faster, increasing the amount of airflow sucked into the engine, creating boost. While additional turbo boost can be created via larger injectors and/or performance programmers and chips because it makes for a bigger explosion (adding more fuel to the fire), it still necessitates more airflow in order to keep EGT’s (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) in check. The Fleece Cheetah features a larger 63mm FMW compressor wheel and Inconel turbine wheel to get more air in and out, and do it quicker than the stock turbo. In doing so, it will generate increased levels of boost for more power and cooler temperatures. The Fleece Cheetah Turbo is a Perfect Upgrade For Your 6.7 Cummins In years past, if you wanted to upgrade the turbo on your 6.7 Cummins, it required a special turbo install kit, a new exhaust manifold, different exhaust, and custom tuning. Fortunately, those days are done with the Fleece Cheetah. You can quite literally unbolt your stock turbo, bolt on the Cheetah, fire the truck up and move on with your day. You don’t even need to have the actuator calibrated, its that easy! Beyond the ease of installation, you get to maintain full functionality of your stock exhaust brake, and it supports up to a whopping 700 rear wheel horsepower, but still suitable for the stock truck! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: Does the Fleece Cheetah include a turbo actuator? A: Yes, the turbo includes a new, pre-calibrated actuator meaning there is no need to take your truck to have the turbo calibrated after installation. Q: Do I need to replace the exhaust with the installation of this turbo? A: No, this is a drop-in turbo requiring no additional modifications. Q: I see you have options to include a new feed and drain line. Are these necessary? A: You can reuse your existing oil lines, however we’ve found that they can either be damaged during removal and reinstallation and sometimes its just easier to start with new components instead of cleaning up the old hoses.

Reviews

"Amazing turbo, far better than stock reduces lag, and more consistent power when ever you need it."

Houston (5/5)

Great replacement. Should have done it sooner

"2008 6. 7L 2500 - Complete drop in replacement. Didn't realize my actuator has been going out for years. Was having trouble the exhaust brake not dis-engaging. Then it starting engaging on it's own creating loss of power on highway. Recently the VGT broke completely and was fully engaged. Extreme loss of power, no boost, black smoke, oil consumption, barely made it home. Replaced with the Fleece Turbo and the truck runs better than it has in years. Exhaust brake works flawlessly. Wish I would have queued in on this VGT issue years ago and replace it. Slightly more turbo whistle. Very subtle."

MIke B. (5/5)

"Loveing this turbo really woke my daily driver up"

Solid Product

"I bought this for a drop-in replacement for a failed stock turbo (175K). This truck sees a lot of highway miles, and I like that I can still emissions-on tune this turbo to increase power and fuel mileage (hopefully). The install was straight forward and good instructions. I would recommend getting the Fleece Turbo oil supply line & drain tube (turbo drain line was a must). I installed the oil drain tube, torqued to spec, and the coolant return line (loose) before dropping in the turbo (access to tighten the coolant return line later is accessible after connecting to block). Core charge return was part of the deal, so not a big deal. I got a complete turbo with a late model actuator without having to hook up my scan tool to calibrate the actuator. Overall pleased."

Petro (5/5)

Fleece turbo

"Great replacement turbo and adds a little power for the 6. 7 cummins also compliments tuning and power mods"

David C. (5/5)

It's like I have a new truck

"Spent way too much $$$ at a shop in Monroe GA on a BIG compound kit with a 2nd fuel injection pump and all kinds of stuff I was told I needed. They could get it to spin the tires, so I came back home, had a mechanic friend to remove the big compounds and 2nd pump, but left the new tuner and head studs on my 2010 Ram 2500 4x4, 6. 7 Cummins. Added a Fleece Cheetah Performance turbo and instantly, it's like a new beast. Just a hair of turbo lag, as it's coupled to the next to the largest SunCoast Performance trans, triple disc converter with the new filter pickup. It's fun to drive and over 22 mpg if I keep my size 15 shoe off the pedal. Also dropped the EGT's a couple hundred degrees. It's really nice having power when you're 67 years of age !!! Pusher recommends this Cheetah Turbo with their pusher compound kit, as I told the guy in Monroe GA I wanted it instead but he said his setup would be better. NOT!!! Cost me over 10k more doing it his way."

Fleece Cheetah Turbo

"This turbo performed great on my 2008 Dodge for about 7,000 miles. Then my exhaust brake quit functioning and my turbo would not hold boost. I bought this turbo because of the great things I have heard regarding their warranty, but I was completely wrong. The warranty process(when you can get ahold of Fleece) is inefficient, untimely, and overall displeasing. The company acts as if they have no care regarding the customer dissatisfaction or disappointment. So far I am two months into communication with Fleece and the problem has still not been made whole. I should note that Diesel Power Products provided great support and service when I initially reached out to them with the issue."

James M. (1/5)

2007. 5 Dodge Ram 6. 7.

"Difficult to install. Would recommend taking off old turbo with the manifold. Makes it easier to take out and put in. Exhaust brake works and sounds amazing. Pricing was a little high but for the amount I tow works like a dream."

Anthony 2. (4/5)

Fleece cheetah turbo 2007. 5 ram 2500

"Can't hear whisle any better than factory I'm bummed!don't be sold on sound you'll be disappointed!exaust brake does work good oh don't forget they don't include core return postage!!? In my case $64. 00 and it'll probably be past 21 days cause I priced cheapest! you would think someone who wants a factory turbo to re-man & re-sale for $3,400 would pay freaking shipping oh well good luck yall"

Jack H. (2/5)

Poor sales tactics and customer service

"I called Monday to verify If they had this turbo In stock, sales person said “we have multiple on the shelf ready to go”. I paid for 1-3 business day shipping (113$) then received an email stating they had to have one built and it would ship Friday. After calling the manufacturer I was told they have a whole pallet ready for go and DPP needed to send a Po over to drop ship me a turbo. After all that tracking shows it won’t be here till next Tuesday. I’m beyond shocked at the lack of organization and honesty. THE TURBO IS WORTH THE MONEY JUST BUY IT ELSEWHERE."

Q&A

Will the factory exhaust brake still work?
The exhaust brake is a function of the VGT. This turbo retains that VGT so the exhaust brake will still work. -Sands
I’m not getting 40-45 lbs of boost out of this turbo and it doesn’t really sound any different than stuck is something wrong with it???! I haven’t had any real problems with it but my throttle response is weird in 4th gear there’s a lag let me know what you think! Thank you
Hi Hunter For tech help on something like this I would shoot us a call. Our techs are on the phones 6AM-6PM PST. 888-993-4373 -Ben

I have a 2012 Ram with the 6.7 Cummins Egr and Dpf Delete. With a Banks 3.5 Monster Ram Intake, ARP headstuds, with 5in turbo back strait pipe exhaust. With an H&S Mini Maxx and a G56. Would this turbo be a good upgrade?
Yes, this would be a solid upgrade over the stock charger. This would work well with your current modifications.
Does this turbo come with new electronic actuator or just cleaned an tested.
Those are new actuators on those turbos.
