For over twenty years MBRP Exhaust has been delivering performance enthusiasts the most in power, the most in product quality, and the most in customer responsiveness you could possibly expect from exhaust. It all began with the now famous B&B Eliminator, which soon achieved the status as the best selling performance snowmobile silencer of all time. Starting from little more than a vision and an absolute passion for all things performance MBRP inc. is now at the forefront of performance exhaust technology. Marshalling over ten decades of manufacturing and marketing expertise between them, the MBRP design team developed a line of performance diesel exhaust products that has made the rest of the industry take notice, and rush to catch up.

Offering all of its diesel systems in aluminized, T-409 stainless, T-304 stainless, aluminized black, and with and without a muffler ensures that there is an MBRP exhaust for every customer's need and pocketbook. Full bolt-on design and clear, well written instructions mean that consumers can install most of MBRP's systems with minimal tools and in under forty-five minutes. And for everyone, toll free technical support that can talk even the least experienced installer through the process.

MBRP offers many kits in both single and dual outlet configurations. While the performance gains are the same for duals and single systems, the duals offer a deeper more aggressive sound over the single system. This is due to the extra tail pipe and the fact that most dual systems have a slightly different muffler configuration than the single systems.

MBRP even manufactures their "Smokers" kits, which are single and dual in-bed STACK kits to deliver to the hardcore enthusiasts! These kits are available in an assortment of sizes and styles, such as 5" and 6", with turnouts and mitre (angle) cuts. Smokers kits are even available in the new popular BLACK finish for that truly sinister look!!!

The muffler used on all of MBRP's diesel systems is a straight flow through design with a spiral louver core. The muffler is packed with stainless steel wool which is then wrapped with a ceramic fibre blanket to ensure longevity of the muffler. This combination creates the deep mellow exhaust note that MBRP systems are known for.

While performance gains vary depending on the vehicle, you can expect a gain of 5% to 10% in horsepower and torque. For example, with a 2005 GM Duramax diesel, you will see a gain of 18 HP. and 28 ft/lbs measured at the rear wheels. You can also expect a reduction in exhaust gas temperature (EGT) by approximately 200ยบ F.

We get a lot of calls and e-mails each day with various product, vehicle, and installation questions. Some are completely off the wall and can even catch us off guard at times, but many others are fairly routine, so we thought we'd post some of the most popular questions that can hopefully be a good resource for you.

Q: Do MBRP Exhaust Kits come with an exhaust tip?
A: That depends, as some do and some don't. There's a few ways to verify if the kit comes with an exhaust tip and one way is to look at the picture on our listing and see if there are any notes in the description that state if it does or does not. Otherwise, most MBRP 5" kits do not come with a tip unless they are a DPF back, at which point, it depends. In regards to 4" kit, if the part number ends in "304," "409," or "AL" it will typically include an exhaust tip. Exhaust system part numbers that end in "P," "PLM," or "SLM" typically do not include a tip.

Q: Does a system with a muffler versus a "straight pipe" (no muffler) have any performance advantages or disadvantages between one another?
A: In our experience, a quality muffler such as those included with an MBRP exhaust will have no hindrance on performance. Its really just a matter of what type of sound you're looking to get out of the truck. Obviously, a straight pipe kit will be considerably louder than one with a muffler. That said, an MBRP muffler kit will have a substantially better sound than a stock muffler.

Q: There's no selection for cab or bed length, will this system have enough exhaust to fit my truck?
A: Most exhaust systems are capable of being "universal" in terms of the length of the truck. They will include exhaust pieces in the center straight sections to accomodate diffrent cab and bed lengths.

Q: Can I use the 2003-2004 Cummins turbo back exhaust on my later model truck?
A: No, for two reasons. First, the outlet of the turbo on a 2003-2004 is a 3.5" diameter, where the 2004.5-2007 models have a 4" diameter. Secondly, the earlier model year trucks did not have a catalytic converter unless they were originally from California, where all 2004.5-2007 model years have a catalytic converter.

Q: Is the 1998.5-2002 Cummins 5" Turbo Back Exhaust a true 5" from the turbo, or does it have a 4" downpipe?
A: Due to physical space constraints, these systems will have a 4" downpipe that then flares to a 5" exhaust at the base of the firewall.

Q: Whats the difference between T409 and T304 stainless steel?
A: T304 is the highest quality stainless steel used in exhaust, where T409 has more impurities in it compared to 304 stainless. Both of these will have some degree of magnetism in them as neither is truly a pure stainless steel as the refrigerator in your kitchen is. In our experience, both of these two versions of stainless still will develop surface rust, especially in damp or humid climates. The benefit, though, is they will not rust through in these environments, as aluminized steel will.
