[Early 2004 6.0] recently replaced #1&6 injectors and all new seals for the other 6 injectors. new nipple cup seals too. Now... If the injector tip copper washers were installed upside down, what would happen and would they be destroyed? Could they be flipped around after running for a week. Reason I ask is that it ran for a week and then truck stopped running after 5 mins of running. I did the bubble test in the fuel filter housing and the left bank failed. Cylinder compression was getting past injector(s)??((maybe more than 1)) and fuel system getting pressurized from engine compression. thinking washers were installed the same way on all of the injectors. thinking its a matter of time that the right bank will go too. If they're not reusable, do you sell a set of 8 copper washers only? most likely the injectors that were letting compressing in have bad ""black & white"" seals. new kits for them if needed. Thanks for your time. Robby.?
Don't believe there is a right way up for the copper washer. It wouldn't matter what way it was put in. I don't sell them by themselves. Would just recommend getting new seal kits.
