DSP5 SWITCH OPTION We offer this package both including a single performance tuning file or with a set of five tunes. For those opting for a single tune, you will not need a switch to change power levels, but for those going with our most popular option of five tunes, you'll want the ability to change power levels. For those that would like this ability, we offer two options: You can add a DSP5 Switch, which is a simple rotary knob that will allow you to toggle between the five power levels on the fly. The 2001-2005 Duramax's has the ability to toggle between these power levels through the Edge Insight (similar to when using the DSP5 switch). PPEI needs to know if you plan using the Edge Insight, because it must be programmed into the AutoCal. If you do not plan on using the Edge Insight please select the DSP5 switch. So far Not very impressed.

"So far Not very impressed. First, the tuner shows up without any cables. They showed up a day or two later. Tried downloading the tuner prior to installing the DSP switch. Couldn't tell tune 1 from tune 5. Didn't seem to make a dif (switching tunes with the programmer) installed the dsp switch. Was trying to unload & reload the tunes when something glitched, the lights on my dash went crazy(truck was not running) once done I started my truck & my throttle pedal no longer worked. My change oil light came on. Truck went to the dealership. $2500 later I had to get a new ECU, Throttle pedal asm. And 2 wires had to be replaced leaving the fuse box. Cruise control now doesn't work. Still can't clear the change oil message even with the new throttle pedal asm. I'm in WA so I had to take off early from work as PPE was going to install my tune remotely. To say I'm nervous would be an understatement. I take off work early bcuz they're CST & I'm PST only to sit in my truck for over an hour waiting to be remotely connected. To get an email an hour later saying join this app so they can connect remotely (Dif app than they used last time) only to have communication drop off completely. Decided to try and load the tunes myself. Only to have the tuner throw a code. So after 6+ weeks, over $1800 for the EFI live tuner & $2500 electrical repair I still have a stock tuned truck. To say I'm highly disappointed would be an understatement."

"I purchased the tunes and Autocal through DPP and got it within a couple days! Truck feels like brand new and has so much power! PPEI helps out with any questions you may have. All I did was sent a data log and within 24 hours they informed me of my fuel pressure dropping and boost leak that was robbing me of even more power! Best purchase I have mad for my truck!"

"This tuner is hands down the best tuner for the duramax pickup. I had the edge juice with attitude tuner and I sent it back because a freind of mine had the efi live and it was so much better than the edge product. I could turn the edge tune up to 5 and it didn't even perform to this one on 3. The install is very straight forward if you follow the instructions. I am at a whole 1 mpg average better than before and I've only had it on there for 2 days worth of non freeway driving. I normally keep it on number 1 but may go to 3 for a split second them back to 1. This is absolutely the way to go. Great product."

Q&A

I bought a ppe programmer and when installing it has a key/seed error. Can I return this? Also if I buy the efi love will it have the same problem?
I would recommend calling in or e-mailing and discussing this with our technical sales department as there may be an issue that can be fixed or at least we can help determine what's causing the error with the PPE programmer. Based on that issue would determine whether you had the same issue with an AutoCal. Typically the issue you're experiencing occurs when there's already a program installed in the ECM and the truck needs to be returned to stock. Usually, though, EFILive will allow you to install a stock file as long as it can read the ECM.

Correct, on the AutoCal device you should be able to adjust the rev limiter in the additional mods/info section.
How can I add the rev limiter tune to my efi live
In the additional mods/info slot you can request what RPM you would like the limiter set too.
If I want to add the TCM to my efi live 5 later when I build my transmission, what do I need to do ?

When I go to position 5 and take the pedal for a good 1/2 mile my p0082 code comes on which is fuel injector pump code. Then after it rest for a bit it goes away. I can feel something isn’t letting use the full 150 hp (sluggish)
I'm having trouble finding that code in regards to fueling, possibly its P0087? That said, based on your description of the issue, the culprit is more than likely low fuel or rail pressure being that substantially more fuel is being commanded on the higher power levels and especially when running at 1/2 mile intervals. Your truck did not come from the factory with a low pressure lift pump which is the first thing to address by adding an aftermarket pump, such as a FASS, Airdog, or Fleece. Next up would be to see if your pressure relief valve on the fuel rail is bleeding excessive rail pressure, causing low rail pressure. Many will choose to either shim or block off the relief to help maintain rail pressure. We offer numerous options for this on our site. You could also be ready to replace the injectors in your truck depending on the year, miles, and other factors. And finally, a weak CP3 injection pump can cause this, as well. Overall, sounds like you may need to have some diagnostics done on the truck to determine fuel pressure, rail pressure, and return rate of your injectors to determine the culprit.
