    We at Diesel Power Products offer a deferred core program in which we allow you to defer the typical upfront core charge when purchasing via credit card payment. All cores, whether the core charge was deferred or not, must be returned within 21 days from delivery date of product requiring core charge. Failure to do so can result in forfeiture of the entire core charge return. In the event you originally deferred the core charge, you authorize Diesel Power Products to charge you for the core charge.

    All cores must be returned to the original warehouse that original shipment was sent from. If a return label is provided in the original shipment, use this tag. If one is not included, contact us immediately, and we can provide you with the correct address of where the core(s) must be returned to, as well as an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. DO NOT rely on the return address on the original label as a source for where to ship to.

    If cores are shipped to the incorrect warehouse, your core money will be returned less the shipping cost for us to send the core(s) to the correct warehouse, or if you deferred the core you may be charged for the shipping amount.

    Cores that have been disassembled and/or have missing and/or damaged major components will not receive full core credit.

    Diesel Power Products has the right to alter this policy (i.e. extend the terms) for any reason. If you have an outstanding circumstance, contact us.

    What is a "Core Charge"?

    In order to understand what a core charge is, you must first understand what a core is. In the automotive industry, most products are manufactured from brand new materials. However, numerous products are also remanufactured, meaning that the manufacturer of the product takes a used product, typically removed from a vehicle, disassembles, and replaces all worn components of the master product. A great example of this is in regards to automatic transmissions in which the manufacturer takes an existing transmission, replaces all of the inner working components, such as the torque converter, valve body, etc. and merely reuses the case.

    Because aftermarket manufacturers require a steady stream of incoming cores to build, they charge a deposit on the core, known as a core charge, that is refunded upon receipt. In some cases, the core is not reusable, such as in the event of a cracked case, at which point the core deposit would not be credited as the core component is not reusable.

The factory Ford 4R100 suffers from weak points in the converter, clutch pack assemblies, valve body and line pressure limitations. These weaknesses arise when the motor's power is increased or in towing applications. ATS addressed these concerns by re-designing the torque converter, transmission pump, valve body and clutch packs. The result is a solid transmission setup to meet the demands of your Ford Super Duty. Ensure that the power of your Powerstroke is getting to the ground with an ATS Transmission Package.

By increasing the line pressure, clutch pack surface area and modifying the valve body, the 4R100 becomes a consistent, responsive and dependable transmission. The Stage 5 includes a billet 300M input shaft. As power increases over 400hp, or considerable weight will be towed, the input shaft takes the brunt of it. The ATS input shaft is designed to withstand extreme torque, converter lock-up sooner than stock, and competition and towing use.

The Stage 6 package includes a Co-Pilot Transmission Lock-up Controller. This controller allows the user to lock the converter based on vehicle speed. The result is more power to the ground at a lower speed, thus improving acceleration, lowering transmission temperatures and helping fuel economy. The Co-Pilot will also synchronize torque converter lock-up with an exhaust brake, for added braking force.

This package is also equipped with a billet flex plate. The flex plate becomes important in high horsepower/torque applications, during competition use, or when towing heavy loads. By increasing the reliability of the flex plate, we can ensure a solid transfer of power from the motor to the transmission.

For competition and extreme towing, ATS adds a billet intermediate and output shaft to the Stage 6 package. By absorbing and transferring extreme power and load, the billet shaft can increase reliability in the 4R100 platform. The result is a transmission built for drag racing, sled pulling, dyno competitions or towing extreme loads. The ATS Stage 6 4R100 is designed for trucks that see daily driving and extreme towing duties, aggressive tuning, competition use and a modified turbo and injectors.

ATS transmissions are backed by a 5 year / 500,000 mile warranty - regardless of power level or use.

SHIPPING POLICY - PLEASE READ - Due to the size and weight of transmissions, they cannot be shipped through traditional couriers, such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and MUST be shipped via truck freight. For this reason, we cannot offer free shipping on transmissions. However, we do offer the option to pay for return shipping up front. If you select this option once your core transmission is ready to be picked up, you just need to give us a call with your original order number and the core tag on the transmission, and we'll take care of the rest. When I was looking at the recipes for horsepower for the 2013 ram and I clicked on the link for the stage 6 ats transmission package it bought me here to the powerstroke transmission are the compatible or is that a error??

When the horsepower is increased on these trucks up to that level it eclipses the rating of 68rfe's. So one option is converting it to a 4R100 from a Ford. It can be a much stronger transmission and has better ratios for drag racing. Under that same listing it shows ATS 4R100 conversion.

I have a 2wd f350 is there another option for 2wd pickups or is this the only one to look into.?

does the 4R140 trans fit on the 7.3 4x4, why not offer that instead of the old style trans.?

Are you meaning the 6R140 from a 11+ truck? That would not work in a 7.3 application. The 7.3 computer will not control the 6R140. Nor is there any standalone controllers for them. DppSands

WHAT DOES PTO STAND FOR??

PTO stands for Power Take Off. Common on tow trucks that use a PTO that bolts to the side of the transmission and is driven off a gear inside to power a hydraulic pump to operate the bed. DppSands
