There's something about a Mega Cab Dually that's just cool. Maybe its the rear dually fenders that somewhat resemble the old school 1st Gen Cummins dually fenders, or the fact that you can fit your whole family plus hook up to the 5th wheel and tow in comfort. This particular dually came to us with the owner on the fence whether they wanted to go out and get a new truck, or make some serious improvements to this one for a more aggressive stance and improved ride quality, well, they opted for the latter.

To get this truck sitting pretty, we opted for a Carli 3" Pin-Top Suspension System that not only delivers a level stance, but also an impeccable ride, both on the street as well as in the rough stuff thanks in part to the Carli Custom Tuned King 2.5 Remote Reservoir Shocks, Multi-Rate Coils, and the optional Full Replacement Progressive Rear Spring Pack. Next, one of our favorite Carli upgrades is that of their Torsion Sway Bar. The factory sway bar is literally a "u-shaped" sprung steel bent bar that acts like a bent piece of metal. When you push down on one side, the other side effectively lifts, and vice versa. Carli's TSB is basically three parts, with a lateral center axis and two separate bars that are attached to the center axis, and each of those are attached to the axle via sway bar end links. This unique design allows the axle to move independently side-to-side and offers a huge improvement in ride quality and better cornering characteristics. To ensure payload capacity was not faltered with the addition of the replacement rear springs, we bolted on a set of supplemental Hellwig air bags.

Finally, to upgrade the worn out steering, a Heavy Duty Synergy Steering linkage replaced the tired factory "Y-Style" steering with massive, greasable joints and converting to the more modern "T-Style" version used on later models. Dampening the force of the steering is a Carli Low Mount Steering Stabilizer. And to round off the build, six 37" Nitto Terra Grappler tires were wrapped around a set of Fuel Maverick Wheels.
