If you're as particular as we are about your engine and how it runs, you probably noticed that it didn't run quite as good when you started to fill up with the ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) that started to become a requirement on January 1, 2007. The reason for this is the lower cetane rating of this fuel (rumored to be in the vicinity of five points lower).

To cure this issue and for the lack of cetane, we've been running FPPF's 8+ Cetane Booster for a while now, and finally decided to offer it to you! As the name implies, you can increase your cetane level by eight points over what simple fuel from the pump offers, which is still roughly three points over the "old" LSD fuel. We've noticed slightly better performance and smoother engine operation since running the FPPF product. Put it this way, without this additive in your fuel, it's the equivalent of running 87 octane in a Shelby GT.
