Simply disconnect your hitch harness from the rear of your bumper plug, insert the Heavy Duty Plug N Play 7-Pin Power Pass Through Upfitter Auxiliary Harness between the bumper plug and the vehicle harness, connect the 25-foot 10 Gauge wire to an upfitter switch at the front of the vehicle, and instantly gain on/off auxiliary control over your trailer! Compatible with any standard 7-pin trailer connector, the 10g transfer wire ensures maximum functionality. Max amperage pass through capacity up to 40-Amps.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This system isn't portable and/or doesn't simply plug n play into the exterior vehicle trailer plug receptacle! Installation entails accessing behind the bumper of your vehicle, positioning the harness between the vehicle harness connector and the back connector of the bumper's 7-pin center. The 25' harness of 10-AWG wire then extends to the vehicle's upfitter switch center or fused auxiliary switch in your truck. This offers a permanent solution, adapting your vehicle's bumper plug center to accommodate any trailer you connect to it. Once installed, the center pin of your bumper's 7-pin center is transformed into an on/off auxiliary signal, which can override the reverse light signal to your trailer's distribution box. Typically, the reverse light signal on this middle pin isn't activated on most trailers.

- It's recommended to NOT exeed the power capacity of your upfitter switch system. If the switch is 20-AMPs, only hook up no more than 20-AMPS, then nothing more than 40-AMPS. Exceeding the current draw of your trailer auxiliary devices over the max amperage of your upfitter switch system can cause a current spike that can do serious electrical damage.
- This harness utilizes the typically unused reverse light wire (center pin of 7-pin) and converts it to a power source. It is the users responsibility to ensure the reverse wire is not needed on their particular trailer(s).
